Hot Springs – Mammoth Hot Springs and the Yellos Stone National Park.

My trip to The Yellowstone National park was all about the Mammoth Hot springs and these are the ones which are famous and a lot of spas out there.

The water source it seems is the Norris Water basin and the superheated water flows from the north on a slop downwards to the Mammoth

These deposit the travertine on the slopes. Most of these have dried off in years and thus leaving a large travertine deposit on the slopes. The locals as well as god knows who have colored these into various colors to make it look absolutely fantastic and special.

The Palette spring and the special Jupiter Terrace were actively spewing out water when we visited. If you plan to visit now then make sure you know what is active and what is not rather than being disappointed later.

Canary Spring is the most active and it draws of course the largest visitors and since it is the biggest it causes a lot of special waterfalls all over the place.

Side notes I looked around the internet to see if there was any more special water falls and I found this site explaining about water fountains and health.
The other place is the Hellroaring Creek trail is along the northern stretches of the Yellowstone river and if you want to make sure that you go away form the crowd then this is the place to be. The trail is around 4 miles and it was very much reinvigorating.

Tower falls on the south east is another place to enjoy the best of the yellow stone and also there are the Upper and the Lower falls. Then comes the most of the special things that can happen and these are the special things like the spa which are there and these are said to offer medicinal properties. Water they say has minerals which can be used for some really special things like the treatment locomotory problems and especially arthritis.
